Dr Alfonso Rao graduated from the University of Chieti, Italy, in 2007.
He initially worked as an oral surgeon in Caserta, Napoli and Pescara before moving to the UK in 2009. He spent time in general practice in Lincoln, Bath, Cheltenham and Bristol.
He now owns several practices across Bristol and the Southwest.
Alfonso has studied extensively with a three-year implantology at the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute. He also completed training at the Global Institute for Education Los Angeles.
Alfonso is a brand ambassador for several leading international dental and implantology brands.
Alfonso has continued training extensively since graduation. Most notably, he gained a three-year diploma in implant dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute of London and also completed a training with the Global Institute for Dental Education in Los Angeles (2014).
Alfonso mainly focuses on his twin passions: implant dentistry and Invisalign treatment.
Alfonso is a member of the Association of Dental Implantology and the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry. He is also a brand ambassador and key opinion leader for dental technology companies including Strauman, Geitlich, NSK and more.
Alfonso is passionate about charitable causes and has spent time in Ethiopia improving access to dental services.
